Summary

Job Title: Assistant Project Worker (Older Persons Service)
Location: Based at LinkLiving’s Kirkcaldy office with regular travel throughout Fife
Hours: 1 full-time post (37.5 hrs/week, Mon–Fri) or 2 part-time posts (18.5 hrs/week over 2.5 days)

About the Service:
Our Older Persons Service combats loneliness and isolation through volunteer befriending, social cafes, and Help to Stay at Home support. We offer 1:1 assistance to older people, many with dementia, helping with emotional support and practical tasks like attending appointments, collecting prescriptions, shopping, and social outings.

Role Purpose:
Provide light-touch support to elderly service users, working alongside project workers and volunteers to promote community engagement and inclusion.

About You:
You’ll have strong computer skills, an understanding of issues affecting older people (including dementia), and the ability to manage your own caseload. A valid driver’s license and daily access to a car are essential.
