Summary
Job Summary
We are a small, family-run stove showroom in the small mining village of Ffynnongroyw, looking for a friendly and knowledgeable Sales Assistant to join our team.
30 hours per week | Overtime may be available | Flexible weekday hours (summer) | Saturday mornings on rotation (winter) | Pay dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries regarding products and services.
• Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is displayed effectively.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
• Handle incoming calls and take phone orders
• Book in chimney sweeps and stove servicing appointments
• Provide advice on stove models, spares, and installation requirements
• Maintain knowledge of building control regulations (advantageous)
• Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in the stove industry.
• Knowledge of stove spares and installation processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining displays and processing transactions.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn about products and services offered by the company.
