Summary

Dulwich Prep & Senior is an exciting place to work. With over 800 pupils, it has been the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world’s most cosmopolitan city. We are excited to launch our senior section this September, and boys will now be able to stay with us until GCSE.

The school’s strength is its community: our staff, who are professional, passionate, and brilliantly collegiate (CPD is massively important); our pupils, who are inquisitive, challenging learners with a spring in their step, and our parents, who are hugely supportive, appreciative and ambitious.

We are actively seeking enthusiastic and creative Gap Assistants to join our dynamic staff in the forthcoming Spring Term 2026 (Friday 9 January 2026 to Friday 27 March 2026)

Our Gap Assistants are valued members of the teams in which they work. We aim to ensure that our Gap Assistants gain unique work experience and life-enriching skills by being immersed in the day-to-day running of the school and working collaboratively with teaching teams, whether it be assisting in Music, supporting small groups of children in lessons, or working alongside our expert practitioners in the Early Years. Ideal candidates are responsible, well-organised, and capable of providing supportive care to our children.

This role also offers the opportunity to participate in our flexible Summer Camp, where you can select the weeks you wish to work.

Please read the Job Brochure and Application Explanatory Notes before applying. Completed application and equal opportunity forms should be sent to Tamsin Hutson, HR Manager, at recruitment@dulwichprepsenior.org.uk

Closing Date: Monday 20 October, 09.00am
Interview Date: Week beginning 27 October 2025
Start Date: Spring Term 2026

We reserve the right to appoint at any time during the recruitment process.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo checks with past employers, online checks and an enhanced DBS check.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where all employees are valued and respected for their unique perspectives and contributions. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply for this position.
