Production Manager
Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
£37,000 - £40,000 (DOE) plus bonus £42,000 - £45,000
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding privately owned company based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire they need an experience Production Manager to manage a small team, focus on achieving the manufacturing plan hour to hour and day to day, set clear and consistent standards and behaviours, and give the team the opportunity to cross skill in order to increase efficiency and team performance.
The Role for Production Manager
• Managing daily production schedules to meet output targets
• Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitoring and updating production KPIs and performance boards
• Overseeing assembly line operations and ensuring quality standards
• Collaborating with supply chain and logistics to optimise material flow
• Leading, coaching, and developing your team through cross-skilling and training
The person profile for the Production Manager
• Must have a proven background in production management gained with a manufacturing environment
• Lean manufacturing skills including 5S, or Kaizen
• Knowledge of production planning, workflow optimisation, and resource allocation
• Hands-on leadership style with a focus on team development and performance management
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Flexible in approach and be able to adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
