Summary
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes; Overseeing the preparation process and monitoring the quality of finished dishes; Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption; Slicing, cutting, and shredding meat and vegetables as needed; Overseeing kitchen staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow; Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and strict adherence to health and safety regulations; Monitoring food storage and handling to prevent contamination; Reporting any health or safety concerns to management; Planning and coordinating kitchen work, including fetching, clearing, and cleaning equipment and utensils; Preparing meals according to customer preferences and dietary requirements; Liaising with waitstaff once orders are finalised; Informing the manager when kitchen equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
