About UsHarris Garrard Academy is an all-through 3–18 academy with approximately 1350 pupils on roll and joined the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy in September 2017. The academy is based in Thamesmead in a purpose built building. SummaryJoin our thriving academy and support our students. We are currently looking to appoint a Student Services Support and Admissions Officer to join us at Harris Garrard Academy . Main Areas of ResponsibilityThe purpose of your role will be:
To ensure that you are the gate keeper for access to student services for all students
To triage all first aid that is reported via student services, involving treating, logging, calls to parents and supervising pupils until collected
To lead on the academy admissions procedure and coordinate the enrolment of all admissions to the academy
To lead on the application and logging of all FSM applications to the academy through L2ICT
To manage all off rolling in the academy and ensure that all off roll files are maintained in line with statutory guidance
Qualifications & ExperienceWe would like to hear from you if you have:
High quality ICT skills (and a willingness to undertake training when required), used to promote effective administration, organisation, communication and management
Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
The ability to quickly gain and maintain credibility and rapport with managers and staff across the school
A good telephone manner and professional image
Good organisational and interpersonal skills which indicate a warm, efficient and hospitable manner to all
Excellent listening and communication skills and sensitivity in complex situations
