Summary
Title: HGV Driver / HGV Shunter The Best Connection are working with our client in West Auckland. Were looking for a professional Class 1 (C+E) Shunter to join a well-established national haulier operating from their depot.
The position will be a temp to perm for the correct candidate. We also have inductions for Class 1 (C+E) Casual Drivers this week with immediate work available.
The role: Secure and strap loads safely across different bays. Ensure curtains are properly closed and secured. Escort LGV drivers to and from the Driver Safe Zone. Assist with unstrapping paper deliveries and photographing secured loads. Conduct yard shunting using a Terberg shunter. Occasionally deliver locally if required by the business. The Candidate: Valid and in date LGV C+E (Class 1) Driver Ideally minimum of 1 year LGV C+E shunting experience Must have clean licence with no DD, DR, IND10 convictions Valid and indate CPC & Digi Card Hours of work: Drivers will be on a set shift pattern with a 3-Week Rotation Earlies Mon: 06:30 - 14:30 & Tue to Fri: 07:00 - 14:30 Lates Mon to Fri: 14:30 - 22:00 Nights Mon to Thu: 22:00 - 07:00 Pay Rate: £15.25 per hour (PAYE) Day Rate (Monday to Friday) £16.25 per hour (PAYE) Day Rate (Monday to Friday) Benefits of working for The Best Connection: Weekly pay Online payslips Holiday accrual Personal accident insurance Pension accrual Ongoing assignments Access to 'Perks at Work' temporary worker benefit scheme.
