Crynodeb

Starting in September 2025, a warm and welcoming family in beautiful Hyde Heath is looking for an experienced, kind and proactive nanny to care for their two young children, a little girl aged 2.5 years and her brother who is aged eight months.

The role could work as either a live out position for a local nanny, or a live in position, where you will be provided with your own newly furnished separate living accommodation, close to the family home.

You will be required to work Monday-Thursday, 08.00-18.00 and Friday, 08.00-13.00 (45 hours/week). There could be additional hours for babysitting and travelling on holiday with the family, but these will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.

Based on a country estate in Hyde Heath village, you will have access to a fantastic local playground, baby classes, forest school groups, and countryside walks.

This is a fantastic role for a nanny who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and is passionate about supporting their development in a loving, fun and structured environment. The family will be moving to the countryside to give their children a wholesome, nature-filled upbringing, and hope to create a forest school-style garden space at home.

The little girl is a curious and bright two-year-old who loves imaginative play, arts and crafts, books (especially Julia Donaldson), swimming, forest school, and animals. She’s full of character and thrives with someone who can be playful, engaging and set kind but clear boundaries. Her brother is a calm and content baby who enjoys nursery rhymes, touchy-feely books and adores his big sister. He is already showing signs of being very sociable and relaxed.

The family values kindness, good manners, confidence and fun. They want their children to grow up feeling secure, nurtured, and inspired by the world around them.

You will be responsible for the children’s daily care and routines, from planning and preparing healthy meals to organising fun and enriching activities. You’ll take the lead on their schedules, outings, and belongings, and ensure their days are full of adventure, calm, and creativity. The family would love a nanny who is confident, organised, and loves getting stuck into games, messy play, and outdoor fun.

This is a long-term role, and the family are looking for someone who will become a valued part of their household. They are thoughtful and communicative employers who want their nanny to feel happy, appreciated, and supported.

The ideal candidate will be:
• Warm, experienced and genuinely passionate about childcare
• Proactive, reliable and confident in planning activities and routines
• Gentle but firm in managing behaviour with kindness and consistency
• Creative, fun, and comfortable with a child-led, outdoorsy approach
• Keen to build strong, positive relationships with the children and parents
• A good communicator who enjoys working in partnership with parents
• Organised and tidy within the home

Duties will include:
• General care of the children.
• Keeping the children’s areas (bedroom, playroom, kitchen) clean and tidy.
• Managing the children’s laundry and clothing, including seasonal rotation and outgrown items.
• Preparing healthy, nutritious home-cooked age-appropriate meals and snacks for the children. Full knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential.
• The family employ a regular cleaner, so general housekeeping is minimal, but support with light tasks such as emptying the dishwasher and tidying up shared areas at the end of the day would be appreciated.

You should be a careful and confident driver, with a clean licence. There is a car available to use on duty, and if live in, the car can also be used personally too.
