Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

• The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and strong Learning Support Assistant to work in our school alongside our experienced and friendly team. As part of this role you will be expected to work on a one to one basis, provide support within the classroom and/or deliver interventions. You must be committed and have high expectations of all children in terms of progress, attainment, attitudes and behaviour.
• 4 GCSE’s (grades A-C) including English and Mathematics or equivalent;
• A willingness to participate in appropriate training to develop skills and expertise.
• Recent experience providing support for pupils in KS1 and/or KS2, including those with SEND, ensuring their safety and access to learning opportunities;
• Effective behaviour management skills;The ability to work effectively in a team;
• High quality communication skills;
• A good understanding of how children learn;
• High expectations of the achievement of all children;
• Experience of keeping clear, accurate records and meeting deadlines.
• A clear understanding of the confidential nature of working in a school;
• Flexibility and adaptability;
• A strong belief ethic that all children ‘can’;
• A sense of humour!
