Summary

Your new company
Our client, an established and multi-accredited contractor operating across a multitude of different industries, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office with hybrid and flexible working.


Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans and forecasts
  • Conducting cost analysis and value engineering to ensure cost efficiency
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract administration
  • Monitoring project progress and preparing monthly valuations and cost reports
  • Assessing and valuing variations, change orders and claims
  • Liaising with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure commercial success
  • Supporting the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering industry, ideally within the water and/or highways sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 form of contract
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
