Assistant Housing Officer

Temporary and Permanent positions available

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Housing Officer to join our team, based in Dundee. The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery of a high quality housing service that meets the identified needs of our customers in accordance with the Sanctuary in Scotland business plan.

The role of Assistant Housing Officer will include:

- Processing housing applications and shortlisting
- Drafting tenancy agreement documentation and completing all paperwork associated with home visits
- Liaising with tenants, responding to enquiries and complaints
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Preparing correspondence in relation to void properties
- Communicating with external agencies, residents and staff regarding tenancies
- Raising purchase orders and ensuring the completion of cash sheets
- Processing all admin functions


Skills and experiences:

- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Scottish National 5 & SVQ2 in relevant area
- Experience working in social housing management
- Recent experience within a customer service environment or administrative position
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative, with fast changing requirements
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
