Summary

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivering high standards of care to individuals and groups of clients under indirect supervision from the registered nurse and after appropriate delegation, who takes overall accountability and will sign off as agreed. Assess and monitor the clients skin integrity and to report and document immediately any changes or concerns in their condition. Demonstrate initiative and the ability to recognise/identify changes in a clients condition/treatment and seek advice and expertise from registered practitioners in accordance with STEPS policy. Delivery of high quality, compassionate care whilst undertaking specific clinical and care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse (or other registered care professional dependent) with a focus on promoting good health and independence To provide wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as required To perform and record clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations and pulse To administer medications and treatment as prescribed, monitor effects and report under the direction of the Nursing team.
