Felbridge Primary School is situated on the outskirts of East Grinstead. We are a one-form entry village
school, encompassing a delightful mix of old (1783!) and modern buildings, set within beautiful grounds.
We are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant, to support the needs of our pupils, helping us to
fulfil our vision of ‘finding the best in everyone.’ Our core values of challenge, compassion, creativity,
curiosity and courage are important to us and very much underpin our school ethos.
We are looking for a person who:
is flexible, adaptable and willing to develop with support from others.
has excellent communication skills.
understands the needs of the national curriculum and how it could be adapted to support learning
needs, particularly in the development of maths and reading.
may have experience working with children with special educational needs - this is desirable but not
essential.
can work independently and as part of the class and wider staff team.
is compassionate, patient and positive towards pupils and their work.
is organised and reliable.
The role will involve working with individual pupils on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis.
If you feel that you have the appropriate experience, skills, and enthusiasm, we would be really pleased
to receive your application. Please note that applications will be considered upon receipt. Early applications are
encouraged as we reserve the right to close the recruitment process once a suitable candidate is appointed.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, subject to the filtering rules which ‘protect’ certain spent convictions and cautions from disclosure
