Summary

Teaching Assistant - SEMH & Trauma-Informed Support

Location: Bottesford, NG13 (Nottinghamshire)
Pay: £95-£100 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
Start: September 2025
Contract: Long-term to permanent (no daily supply)

Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children who need it most?
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Bottesford (NG13). The school offers a unique education pathway for children with complex trauma, SEMH, and attachment needs within a woodland and farm-based environment, blending learning with therapeutic, outdoor experiences.

What you will do:
- Support students academically, emotionally, and socially in small groups and on a 1-1 basis
- Build trusting, therapeutic relationships to help students develop confidence and independence
- Encourage engagement through hands-on, outdoor learning within woodland and farm settings
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver individualised education plans
- Support with creating a trauma-sensitive environment where students feel safe and understood

What we're looking for:
- Experience supporting children or young people, particularly those with SEMH, trauma, or additional needs
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to engage in outdoor learning activities in all seasons
- A qualification in education, care, or a related field is desirable but not essential
