Based at Hawkhead Cemetery or any of our other cemetery depots, you will work as part of a team to deliver frontline cemetery services within our 9 cemeteries which will include the preparation of lairs for interments, carrying out interments and all follow up work. This will include the use of 360 mini excavator, forward tipping dumper, hydraulic shoring and all related small hand tools.

The post will involve the installation of headstone foundations and carrying out memorial inspections.

You will also be required to carryout general grounds maintenance duties such as grass cutting, litter removal, bin emptying and leaf removal.

You will be required to rotate across the various depots as required in line with the needs of the service.

Experience in a similar working environment, health and safety procedural knowledge and previous experience of manual work are essential.

You must have effective communication and interpersonal skills and be prepared to work in inclement weather conditions. You will have experience in dealing with business customers and the public including grieving families.

Experience of working in a cemetery environment is desirable aswell as a current driving licence.

You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
