Relief Carpentry and Joinery Instructor

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis

£19.77 per hour (including Distant Island Allowance)

UHI Orkney is seeking applications from suitably qualified and knowledgeable persons to add to the supply list.

Instructing and assessing Carpentry & Joinery and Wood-machining apprentices at UHI Orkney.

Applicants should be a time-served Joiner or Bench Joiner with at least 5 years’ experience. Hold HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent SCQF level qualification in relevant curriculum area. L+D9D1 assessor award (or equivalent) or achieve this within 12 months. L+D11 verifier award (or equivalent) or achieve this within 12 months.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
