Summary

Lyndhurst care home are looking for a Care Assistant who shares our passion and enthusiasm to join our team on a part-time permanent basis, 19.5 hour position available, optional overtime, alternate weekends, shift times 08.00-15.00/15.00-20.00.
We welcome new and experienced Care Assistants who are looking to expand their career, knowledge and experience within the Health & Social care sector.
You will receive full support from the very beginning ensuring you receive Induction and Mandatory training to support you be competent and confident in your role. We will also support you to achieve your NVQ L2/3 in Health & Social Care this is a work based funded diploma qualification, which aims to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours.
What you’ll be doing;
Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting our residents when required. Tasks include washing, dressing, undressing and other aspects of daily living
Pay particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility making the best of the use of aids provided
Assist and promotion of continence
Complete daily written records as in-line with company policy & procedures
Assist residents to participate/continue with hobbies and activities within the home
Answer the nurse call system, giving assistance as required
Make family & friends feel welcome and provide refreshments/assistance when required
Closely monitor residents who may display confusion, require support socially and/or have communication barriers
Pay particular attention to assisting service users who have limited mobility or physical learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
Observe care planning needs for service users and complete written daily records as instructed in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with service users and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the care centre.
