Summary
A wonderful family based in Woking, Surrey is looking for an After-school Nanny to help them in looking after their charming toddler and school-aged child. The primary responsibility will be the safe collection of the children from nursery and school, followed by bringing them home. Key responsibilities then include preparing and supervising their dinner, followed by guiding them through bedtime preparations such as changing into pyjamas, brushing teeth, and perhaps reading a story. Beyond these core tasks, the role typically involves engaging both children in age-appropriate play and activities, assisting the older child with any homework, encouraging them to help tidy their play areas and belongings, and maintain clear communication with you regarding their afternoon and well-being, always ensuring their safety is paramount. Additionally, they have a small dog so the candidate must be comfortable with pet care duties. A driver is required, with a preference for candidates who have their own car.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm, 18 hours per week
Duties include:
Collect children from the nursery or school and safely accompany them home
Plan and engage the children in fun, age-appropriate, and stimulating activities
Organise and supervise playdates
Prepare healthy snacks and dinner for the children
Ensure the children’s safety, well-being, and happiness at all times
Assist with bath and bedtime routines
Support with child-related laundry and help maintain a tidy environment
