Summary
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-School Deputy Manager to join our Pre-School team. The ideal candidate will have plenty of experience working with young children and possess strong leadership skills to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our children.
Purpose of job:
• In the absence of the manager to be responsible for the daily management of the pre-school, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 2 – 5 years of age.
• To work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the well-being of the children.
• To be responsible for the delivery of the Early Years curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
• To implement the policies, procedures and practices within the pre-school.
Essential criteria:
• Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare.
• At least 2 years’ experience of working in an early years setting, or at least 2 years’ other suitable experience.
• Level 2 qualification in English.
• Experience and sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
• Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures relating to safeguarding children, health and safety, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
Desirable criteria:
• Relevant experience in a managerial or supervisory post in an early years setting.
• Previous experience in the role of SEN Officer or willingness to undertake training.
• Possess or be willing to obtain Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• To have received Basic Awareness of Child Protection.
• Understanding of use of basic technology
