We are now recruiting a Membership Coordinator to join our team.

JOB BRIEF

As a Membership Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in supporting and enhancing the member journey. Working remotely and reporting to the Head of Membership, you’ll provide administrative and operational support across the Membership team, ensuring our members receive a consistently high standard of service.

You’ll be the friendly and efficient first point of contact for member queries, and you’ll also play a proactive role in encouraging renewals, supporting onboarding, and promoting our wide range of services. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and who enjoys making a real difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

Be the voice of the Institute by handling incoming enquiries from members via email, phone, and other channels in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
Make outbound calls to engage with members — supporting the encouragement of renewals, responding to follow-ups, and raising awareness of our latest offerings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within our CRM system (e.g., Dynamics 365), including logging interactions, updating member information, and generating reports.
Support the onboarding experience for new members, helping them navigate our benefits and making their first touchpoints memorable and positive.
Coordinate renewal communications and reminders, ensuring that no member is left behind.
Assist in planning and executing member events, webinars, and engagement initiatives — from invitations and logistics to follow-ups and feedback.
Provide cross-team administrative support and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Uphold data protection standards and follow internal policies in all interactions and data-handling procedures.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong organisational and time-management skills — you’ll need to juggle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal — you’ll be speaking directly with members and representing the Institute.
Proven experience in an administrative, customer service, or membership-based role.
Confidence in using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience working with CRM systems — ideally Dynamics 365 or a similar platform.
A proactive mindset and a willingness to support the wider team as needed.

Desirable (but not essential):

Familiarity with international trade, imports, or exports.
Experience working within a professional membership body or trade association.
Understanding of standard operating procedures in a membership environment.

BENEFITS:

36.5 hours per week including 4pm Friday finish
25 days annual leave and day off for your birthday too
Annual performance-related bonus
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
Private healthcare including Optician/Dental costs
Life Assurance (Salary x4)
Personalised training
A range of discounts for shopping, holidays and cinema attendance
Free breakfast in Peterborough
2 days volunteering a year
