Summary
Supports the team in ensuring the maintenance of high standards of nursing care. Maintains the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of patients, relatives and colleagues at all times. Supports the Unit in maintaining accurate documentation including the registering of patients on SystmOne and updating of their personal data. Ensures that all equipment is kept in a safe condition and is ready for use when required, and that faulty equipment is reported and/or replaced as necessary. Supports others in the application of local standards, policies and philosophies which further the philosophy of patient centred, individual and evidence based care for all patients. Is aware of legislation and responsibilities under the Health & Safety at work act. Maintains a safe environment with regard to Risk Management policies and procedures. Is aware of and follows policies and procedures with regard to patients, themselves, other members of staff, equipment and the general public. To report personal sickness and absence appropriately. Participates in the Performance Development Review process. To undertake training and professional development as required, complete own Mandatory training and identify own development needs to keep updated as needed and maintain clinical and professional credibility
