Tutorbase is a growing education provider focused on delivering high-quality, skills-based learning for young people and adult learners. We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Health & Social Care Tutor to support and guide adult learners (aged 19+) through their qualifications in a dynamic, blended learning environment.

Role Overview
As a Health & Social Care Tutor at Tutorbase, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of 30–40 learners, delivering qualifications through in-person sessions and workplace observations. You will play a vital role in preparing learners for roles within the health and social care sector and ensuring successful qualification completion.

Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of a learner caseload, ensuring timely progress and qualification completion.

Deliver engaging face-to-face and blended training sessions for adult learners, embedding functional skills and soft skills into lessons.

Plan and develop schemes of work, session plans, and course resources that meet qualification requirements and learner needs.

Conduct robust initial assessments, diagnostics, and skills scans to develop individual learning plans (ILPs) with SMART targets.

Maintain accurate records of learner progress, set improvement targets, and ensure learners are on track.

Embed British Values, Prevent, Safeguarding, and Equality & Diversity throughout teaching.

Use e-portfolio systems to manage evidence collection, track assessment progress, and provide learner feedback.

Deliver training and assessment aligned with OFSTED, Awarding Body, and internal Tutorbase quality standards.

Maintain excellent employer relationships and liaise regularly to support learners' development and placement.

Provide effective information, advice and guidance (IAG) to help learners progress into work, apprenticeships, or further study.

Ensure that at least 95% of learners achieve their qualifications within the agreed timescales.

Attend team meetings and CPD sessions to stay aligned with best practices and compliance standards.

Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience delivering Health & Social Care qualifications (up to Level 3).

Experience working within the care sector (Adult Care setting preferred).

Experience managing caseloads in a teaching or assessing environment.

Strong knowledge of assessment portfolios, e-learning platforms, and embedding functional skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines independently.

Ability to build strong learner and employer relationships.

Essential Qualifications
Level 3 (or above) qualification in Health & Social Care

Level 4+ Teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, AET, or equivalent)

Assessor Qualification (A1, D32/33, TAQA, or CAVA)

DBS Check (enhanced, child barred list) – must be registered with the Update Service or willing to apply

Safeguarding Training (completed or willingness to undertake)

Desirable (but not essential)
Internal Quality Assurance qualification (V1 or equivalent)

Managerial experience within the care sector

Experience working with learners with SEND

Experience working with Job Centre Plus and other referral partners
