Are you a University of Leeds graduate looking to start your career or are you an undergraduate student looking for a placement year opportunity as part of your degree? Do you have a passion for rare books, archival material, and the visual arts? Do you have great communications skills, and have an interest in digital content creation? Are you committed to outstanding service delivery?

We are looking for a proactive and creative individual to support the delivery of our digital communication activities. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a diverse range of people. You’ll enjoy using your initiative to solve problems and your creativity to produce engaging content across a range of channels.

Cultural Collections at the University of Leeds holds outstanding collections, encompassing rare books and archives, the University’s institutional archive, The Stanley & Audrey Burton Art Gallery and the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery. Audiences range from university students and staff to members of the public, including community groups and more. We offer a world class research facility, an engaging programme of events and exhibitions, and community focussed projects. We use our digital and social media channels to promote and engage our target audiences with our collections and the work we do.

Our internship role is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute to the new Cultural Collections and Galleries Audience Development Strategy, whilst developing your own skills and experience. You will gain experience in developing and delivering effective digital communications and engagement campaigns for different audiences. You will also develop vital employability and transferrable skills, essential for your future career.
