Summary
Qpoint delivers an External Quality Assessment service specifically designed for users of point of care testing equipment.
Delivered by NHS professionals, our friendly team send regular test samples and reports, offering advice and guidance to enable service users to produce the highest quality results from their point of care testing equipment.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and well-motivated HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to complement our multidisciplinary team to deliver the Qpoint External Quality Assessment Schemes.
The job role with be within normal business hours, Monday to Friday and based in Aldershot Centre for Health.
Essential qualities expected are efficiency, being well organised, having good communication and customer service skills, attention to detail. and good keyboard skills. In addition, you should be a reliable individual who is able to demonstrate good practical skills and work as part of a team. You must be keen to embrace new ways of working and develop your knowledge and skills. Support and encouragement will be given for career development.
This is a fabulous opportunity to practice as a Biomedical Scientist while gaining valuable insigts into the commercial sector.
The post holder will support the effective operation of the Qpoint External Quality Assessment (EQA) schemes, including contributing to product development and preparation of testing samples. They will be responsible for accurately calculating and scoring EQA circulations, ensuring all results are processed in line with quality standards. Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential for all tasks to maintain compliance, accuracy, and reliability within the service. The role requires regular communication and liaison with a range of stakeholders including service users, pathology and hospital staff, porters, drivers, and couriers to coordinate sample distribution and resolve any operational issues promptly. The post holder will contribute to maintaining the smooth running of EQA schemes, supporting quality assurance activities that underpin clinical pathology services. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team are key to fulfilling the responsibilities effectively.
