The Assistant Parts Manager / Senior Parts Advisor plays an integral role within the automotive sector, focusing on supporting the Parts Manager.
This position is designed to maintain an efficient workflow, ensuring that parts are readily available for customer sales, service repairs, or internal use.
Duties for our Assistant Parts Manager / Senior Parts Advisor role:
• Oversee the ordering, stocking, and selling of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring inventory levels meet customer demand without excessive surplus.
• Implement and manage inventory control systems to track parts turnover and adjust stock levels accordingly.
• Train and supervise parts department staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance to ensure high levels of customer service and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of parts required for repairs and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints regarding parts availability, pricing, and warranty issues, providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
You will need to have previous experience in parts management within the motor trade.
Hours of the Assistant Parts Manager / Senior Parts Advisor role: Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5.30 – 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
