The Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language challenges, and social or emotional difficulties


  • Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual learning requirements


  • Help students develop essential communication, confidence, and independence skills


  • Support positive behaviour management and contribute to a calm classroom environment


  • Observe and report on student progress to the SENCo and teaching team


    Who We’re Looking For
    • Recent graduates (2025) with a minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject


    • Some experience supporting children or young people with SEN, whether in education, care, or volunteer roles


    • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learners


    • A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to a future career in teaching, therapy, or educational psychology
