Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust has an exciting vacancy for a part time administrator to work with the administration team for health visiting, based at West Berkshire Community Hospital.


We are looking for a highly organised, motivated administrator to join the team of administrators who support the health visiting service in West Berkshire.The ideal candidate will have good organisational, IT (including the use of excel) and communication skills.The team are supportive and friendly and enjoy good working relationships with partner agencies. You must be a driver and have use of a car.

• Be responsible forreview clinic appointmentsincludingmail merge and sending ofmultipleappointment letters, health related information and questionnaires and takereviewclinic appointmentbookings

• Take, respond to and record accurately all telephone calls and e-mails,initiatingaction asappropriate, relaying messages accurately, ensuring that all calls receive prompt attentioninan efficient and courteous way

• Produce new birth and transfer in packs in preparation for the Health Visitor home visit.

• Manageclinical records, discharge of notes and archivingin accordance withthe NHS Code of Practice and local Child Health Information Service

• Undertake clinicand/orreception duties when required communicating directly with serviceusers

• Assistin the receipt and distribution of all mail delivered to the service

• Assistthe team in the maintenance and amendment of client demographics within theelectronic patient record

• Liaise with other departments and external organisations on matters concerning the department business, on direction

• Manage andmonitorown workload,identifyingneed for support as appropriate

• Collaboratewith other Administration Team members,toensure the department is always fully equipped of both central stock and non-stock items by regular monitoring andkeeping relevant staff informed

• Collectdepartmentalstatistics/data as and whenrequired
