What You’ll Do
The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for developing and promoting a positive health and safety culture at the School over four sites in Somerset.
They will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all health and safety matters, including policy implementation, monitoring and inspection and risk assessment. The Premises Manager role involves the supervision and security of all sites, including general maintenance and repairs in and around the school facilities, to ensure that the school is a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a candidate who has the following credentials:
• NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
• An excellent understanding of H&S issues, including Fire Management and Risk Management
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills – is able to engage at all levels
• The know-how to assess and carry out minor repairs and maintenance independently, and commission experts where required
• Use of own car for work. Travel between sites remunerated at 40p per mile.
