Mencap are seeking Support Workers to join our incredible teams in Peterborough. Candidates with driving licences will be desirable but not a requirement to apply for this role, however you may be expected to work across different services/locations within the area.
About the Role:
You’ll be supporting both males and females with a range of needs to live their best lives – whether at home or out in the community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting people with personal care, daily routines, and independence.
- Assisting with mobility and manual handling when required.
- Taking part in activities like:
- Bowling, discos, bingo, arts & crafts
- Trips to the café for coffee and cake
- Attending day centres and community events
- Creating a fun and safe environment both at home and out in the community.
Shift Flexibility:
We’re looking for team members who can work a variety of shifts, including:
- Days and evenings
- Weekends
- Sleep-in shifts (with a flat rate of £63.70)
Contract Options:
- Ideally we are looking for part time, this would be a maximum of 30 hours but this can be discussed at pre interview stage
Experience is welcome but not essential – we provide full training and ongoing support.
