Summary

Are you passionate about events and public safety? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?
Hull City Council’s Events Team is looking for a dynamic and motivated Events Assistant to support the delivery of a wide range of events across the city, including major public gatherings and sports ground safety operations.
About the Role
As an Events Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Events and Sports Ground Safety Manager. You’ll be responsible for:

Providing high-quality administrative, financial, and analytical support to the events team.
Assisting with audits and the preparation of Safety Advisory Group (SAG) minutes for quarterly meetings held at the city’s two main stadia.
Helping to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and team collaboration is smooth.
Supporting event delivery, which may include evening and weekend work, travel across the city, and operating from temporary office accommodation during events.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:

Organised and detail-oriented, with experience managing competing priorities.
Comfortable working in a busy, team-focused environment.
Skilled in administration, budget tracking, and data analysis.
A confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
Flexible and willing to work outside standard office hours when required.
