Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to develop and implement school improvement plans, drive change, and promote high standards in teaching, behaviour, and outcomes.
SEND Expertise: Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including EHCP implementation and inclusive education practices.
Teaching & Curriculum Development: Skilled in promoting high-quality, personalised teaching and learning; capable of leading curriculum design that meets a diverse range of complex needs.
Safeguarding & Welfare: Desired Experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), with in-depth knowledge of safeguarding protocols and a commitment to pupil well-being.
Data-Driven Improvement: Competent in using data, assessment, and pupil voice to inform planning, interventions, and school self-evaluation.
Staff Development & Line Management: Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills to lead and support high-performing teams.
Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work effectively with staff, families, governors, and external professionals to ensure joined-up support for pupils.
Operational Oversight: Understanding of statutory responsibilities including health and safety, safeguarding compliance, and resource deployment.
Personal Attributes: Resilient, emotionally intelligent, reflective, and solution-focused, with a clear commitment to continuous improvement and high expectations for all.
