Summary

VAF114: PART-TIME COOK (MAYFLOWER CAMPUS)
Based at: Mayflower Campus (Boston)

Available shift patterns include:
• Morning Shift (7:00am – 9:00am), Monday – Friday (£6,349 per annum)
• Afternoon Shift (4:00pm – 7:30pm), Monday – Friday (£11,111 per annum)
• Saturdays (7:00am – 2:30pm) (£4,444 per annum)

All above roles are 52 weeks per year contracts. Salaries are pro rata to £23,492 per annum.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and skilled Cooks to join our growing team at the vibrant Mayflower Café, which serves both students and the public and plays an essential role in the College’s community and commercial strategy.

As Cook, you'll work as part of a small, friendly team to prepare and serve high-quality food in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth service, excellent hygiene standards, and a great experience for every customer, whether it’s breakfast for regulars or catering for events and functions.

Main duties include:

• Preparing, cooking and serving food to a high standard
• Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed
• Managing stock rotation and placing orders when needed
• Assisting with café presentation and customer service
• Working alongside Catering Assistants and mentoring students where appropriate
