Summary
LECTURER-ESOL ADULT
Lewisham College requires a number of qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic Tutors to take on the role of ESOL Lecturer/s (evenings, part time) to join our thriving team.
The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high-quality ESOL learning programmes, tutorial and administration duties.
Successful applicants will have experience of teaching ESOL to adult learners, teaching non-regulated and exam courses at a variety of levels. It would also be advantageous to have experience teaching maths, ICT and employability to ESOL students.
Ideally candidates will have:
- A CELTA qualification
- Be Qualified to degree level
- Hold a post-16 teaching qualification
- Possess L2 English and maths qualifications or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.
It is desirable that the candidate has experience in FE and a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice.
An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines and strong oral and written communication skills are essential requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to join a well-motivated, cohesive and successful team.
