Workchain is currently recruiting for an Event Assistant to join our client in Durham on a temporary basis.We are currently looking for events assistants to support with a university graduation for New College DurhamThe event will be held at Ramside Hall – DH11TDTuesday 8th July7:45 – 16:30pm£12.21 per hour – paid Wednesday the following week!Previous experience is not required but candidates must be proactive and able to use their own initiative, and work independently without needed constant direction.Duties will include -Being face to face with graduating students-Confident happy enthusiastic helping students with their gowns and caps-Packing and unpacking gowns before and after graduation-General duties throughout the dayKey Responsibilities:- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events- Greeting and directing attendees- Providing excellent customer service- Assisting with serving food and beverages- Ensuring the event runs smoothly and efficientlyQualifications:- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is desirable but not essential- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively as part of a team- Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsPay Rate: £12.21 per hourTo apply for this exciting opportunity, please visit our website at workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
