Summary
To fulfil a senior administrative role within the undergraduate teaching department and the wider medical education department. To manage the teaching and examination activities of the Undergraduate teams for 180 Medical Students. Working closely with the Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Medical Education manager and other senior professionals the post holder will act as a student liaison officer, promoting supporting undergraduate education within South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. The role will be responsible for managing the co-ordination of medical student placements within the organization and administration of medical student academic examinations within STSFT. The post holder will manage the administrative staff within the Undergraduate medical education department. They will monitor workloads and ensure fair distribution according to the various team roles. They will ensure adequate cover of staff, particularly around Student Examination dates. Perform appraisals, leave and performance issues, working collaboratively with the Medical Education Manager.
