Summary
Are you passionate about Science?
St Peter and St Paul are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person who will take pride in supporting the teachers that instil a love of science in keen learners.
The Academy are looking to appoint someone with previous school experience. Part of your duties will be to prepare materials and equipment for planned practical lessons, carry out risk assessments, keep check of stock and dispose of waste appropriately. You will ensure there is effective support for practical work across the Science department.
Your duties will include:
Arranging for apparatus to be available for lessons and students
Preparing experiments, setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons
Preparation of chemicals and solutions
With a scientific background, applicants must be IT proficient with excellent communication skills. Science qualifications at a higher level (e.g., A level or degree) would be a significant advantage.
You will:
Be caring and supportive.
Have a background in Science, with a qualification in science
Assist in preparing experiments and clearing away afterwards
Prepare chemicals and solutions and dispose of appropriately
Promote the well-being of our students providing guidance and support
This is a permanent role starting 1 September 2025, working for 37 hours per week, term time only.
