What you'll be doing;
- Lead team with visible presence, mentor managers on contract expectations, and champion workplace inclusion
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies while promoting a safety-first culture and good practices
- Develop and maintain employee engagement, oversee staff welfare, and ensure effective team communications
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and monitor budget performance, ensuring costs are controlled and reviewed regularly
- Drive operational excellence and KPI adherence maintaining compliance with Veolia Minimum Requirements
- Monitor service performance through Power BI reporting system and implement improvement plans where needed
- Ensure proactive management of workforce and service delivery issues to prevent client/resident complaints
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with council officers and client teams, ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues and effective communication
- Oversee staff training programs, including maintenance of training matrices, TBTs, and performance reviews
- Manage disciplinary processes, safety investigations, and maintain positive industrial relations with trade unions
- Monitor and report equipment/property maintenance needs while ensuring effective communication of operational processes to wider team
What we're looking for;
Essential:
- IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health)
- Driving Licence
- High level of IT Literacy
- Strong Communication Skills
- CMS holder and if not willingness to achieve qualification in first year.
Desired:
- First aid trained
- Ability to influence and persuade differing levels of personnel.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Previous experience working with a client team
- Yellow plant operators experience
