Summary
Content Manager
At Prospect Hospice, we believe stories change lives - and how we tell them matters. As our new Content Manager, you’ll lead our digital content strategy—connecting with our community, inspiring supporters, and highlighting the human impact of our palliative care services. This is more than a communications role. It’s your chance to be part of something truly meaningful.
We’re proud to be an independent charity rooted in our local community, providing personalised palliative and end-of-life care and support when people need it most. And we bring the same care to our team as we do to our patients.
What will you be doing?
As Content Manager, you’ll lead the creation and delivery of engaging, audience-focused content across channels, including digital (social media, email and our website). You’ll:
• Craft compelling stories and campaigns that connect with hearts and minds
• Develop, manage and deliver creative content plans in line with our brand and tone of voice
• Collaborate with colleagues and community members to co-create content
• Use insight and analytics to test, learn and continually improve
• Champion best practice and support others across the organisation to tell our story well
You’ll play a key role as part of a small but dynamic charity communications and marketing team; reporting to the Senior Brand and Marketing Manager, and working alongside colleagues, supporters and external agencies.
“It’s a place where you know your work truly matters. Everyone’s passionate, kind and happy to roll up their sleeves.” Tina, Marketing & Communications Officer
About you
We’re looking for a creative, collaborative and strategic content lead with:
• Experience in content marketing and social media strategy for digital channels
• Excellent writing, editing and visual storytelling skills
• Confidence using analytics and SEO to drive engagement
• Audience-focused mindset and an eye for detail
• A positive, proactive and inclusive approach to working with others
Experience with video/audio editing or training others in content best practice would be a bonus - but more than anything, we’re looking for someone who shares our values and believes in the power of content to drive change.
Please see the job description for full details and person specification.
What else do you need to know?
• Hours: 28 to 37.5 per week, with hybrid working options available

• Salary: £35,025 - £38,650
• Great benefits: 27 days holiday, generous contributory pension scheme, discounts, employee assistance programme, family-friendly policies and practice, free parking on-site
• Closing date: 17th July 2025
• Interview dates: 23rd July 2025 (initial telephone screening) and 31st July 2025 (in person - if shortlisted for an interview)
