Summary

What you’ll be doing:

Southdown is the largest not-for-profit provider of care, support, and housing in Sussex. We’ve been helping people access stable accommodation, mental health and care services since 1972, now counting over 900 people as part of our team.

We’re a small, friendly finance team looking for a qualified accountant or studier to join us as Accounting and Systems Specialist. You’ll play a key role in month-end processes and year-end audit, while also managing our Purchase-to-Pay platform and overseeing finance software updates and user testing.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

What you’ll need for the role:
ACCA / CIMA / ACA - finalist or qualified

Knowledge of accounting principles surrounding accruals, prepayments and fixed assets

Knowledge of accounting systems testing and updates

What would be nice:
Prior experience using SUN systems

Experience supporting a year-end audit

Working knowledge of FRS 102 and exposure to Housing SORP
