Summary
Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Bridgwater, TA6
Reporting to: Sales & Commercial Director
Are you an experienced warehouse professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving operational excellence? We’re recruiting a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse in Bridgwater, ensuring safety, efficiency, and outstanding customer service.
About the Role
As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will oversee all warehouse activities, including stock control, team management, and process improvements. You’ll work closely with the Sales Director and Head Brewer to balance stock levels and optimize deliveries, helping the business meet its commercial objectives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on driving continuous improvement and leading a motivated team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a safe and secure warehouse environment, maintaining accountability for health and safety standards
Manage and support the Warehouse Supervisor and wider warehouse and transport teams
Lead recruitment, retention, and development initiatives to build a skilled, motivated workforce
Allocate staff resources strategically to meet operational demands
Use warehouse IT systems to monitor stock levels, manage delivery schedules, and control costs
Collaborate with sales teams to enhance customer service and satisfaction
Implement robust stock loss prevention measures, including security and discrepancy controls
Drive process improvements focusing on cost efficiency, compliance, and sustainability
Oversee projects to support business growth and operational goals
Maintain clear communication channels to keep teams informed and engaged

Proven experience in warehouse operations, stock control, and inventory management
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams
Excellent organisational, planning, and time management abilities
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and compliance standards
Commercial awareness with strong cost control and risk management skills
Data-driven decision-making mindset, leveraging IT systems and warehouse technology
Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high service levels
Ability to manage projects and drive continuous process improvements
