Summary

A leading manufacturer of high quality plastic injection moulded parts and assemblies is now looking for a Lead Plastic Injection Mould Toolmaker to join their Oxfordshire Toolroom.

Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, you will be responsible for the manufacture new injection mould tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost effective manner.

You will also maintaining and modifying existing tooling.

We are looking for an Apprentice trained toolmaker and/ or qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.

With previous experience of CNC machining and CAD/CAM software, you will produce fully hardened steel production tools.

This role is offered on a permanent, full time, day shift with excellent benefits, including early finish on Fridays, occasional overtime, 25 days holiday + BH, pension scheme, and free parking.

Qualifications and Experience:

As the successful Lead Toolmaker, you should be an Apprentice served Toolmaker, with 5 or more years’ experience in plastic injection moulding.

It is essential you have proven experience in CNC and CAD/CAM, working with steel / hardened steel.

Also required is experience with Hot runner systems / Valve gates and manifolds
