Summary
As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will take the lead and demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist area of gastroenterology including medical and surgical. You will play a lead role in the nutritional management of this patient group and will provide specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health professionals. You will provide a lead on relevant clinics and/or group sessions e.g. FODMAP or Coeliac. In addition you will actively be involved in the trusts clinical governance programme and quality framework agenda by taking lead responsibility for ensuring continuing professional development, audit and research activities within this specialist area. You will be responsible for close working with all members of the Nutrition Support Team and other Advanced Gastrointestinal Dietitians.
