JOB DETAILS Job Title: Nurse Specialist - Renal Transplant Reports To: Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist Accountable To: Transplant Co-ordinator and Lead Band: 6 Unit/Department: Renal Services Directorate: Abdominal Medicine & Surgery Location: St Jamess Hospital JOB PURPOSE The jobholder will be joining an established team of clinical nurse specialists who provide care to a caseload of approximately 1250 post renal transplant patients. They will play a key role in the initial post-transplant phase supporting their inpatient journey and will then go on to support them the patients in the early transplant clinic. Here they will have the opportunity to support the patient as they navigate their new lives post-transplant. The job holder will join an established specialist nursing team who provide care and advice to a specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the speciality service.
