Summary

Our patients will have an accompanying physical health need and referrals to our service are usually made when their mental health issues (functional and organic needs) present with complicating factors during their admission. The successful applicant will also be expected to provide an expert advisory role, education and training to colleagues at the Hospital. You will have excellent communication and assessment skills and a working knowledge of physical health conditions. You must be confident in your ability to support patients with complex mental illnesses and their families/carers. Most importantly, must be a team player who is also able to work autonomously and forge strong links with our community colleagues. Two years post registration experience is required and you wouldhave ideally worked within Community Mental Health Settings or Liaison services.
