Summary

Play a Key Role in Preserving Birmingham's Urban Landscape - Join Us as an Arborist

That's why we're looking for a skilled Arborist to join our Transportation team in Birmingham. In this role you will have the chance to protect and preserve the natural elements that make our transport networks safer and more enjoyable for everyone.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Arborist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the city's green infrastructure. Working within our experienced Arboricultural team, you'll support the safety and visual quality of Birmingham's highways through expert tree care and maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Setting up and operating safe work sites on the highway

-Carrying out pruning, sectional felling, and emergency tree work

-Engaging respectfully with members of the public when approached on-site

-Following safe systems of work, risk assessments, and best practices (ICoP and training requirements)

-Completing all required documentation, including LOLER check sheets, HAVS forms, and point-of-work risk assessments



What You'll Need

This role of Arborist is great for you if you:

-Hold City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Using a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness (CS 39)

-Have a valid CSCS card and a solid understanding of health & safety in high-risk environments

-Possess a full driving licence

-Bring practical Arboricultural experience and a team-focused attitude
