Housing & Technical Resources requires an Architectural Officer to assist in the effective delivery of a comprehensive service relative to the Council’s Capital and Revenue Expenditure programme.

Initially you will be working in the General Services Team participating in the delivery of South Lanarkshire Council’s non Housing programme of work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

To undertake this role, you will be qualified to at least HNC level in an appropriate discipline as well as having the ability to display excellent Revit & AutoCAD skills. You will act as CA on smaller projects and lead the design team through all stages of design and on to construction. Experience of refurbishment projects and knowledge of typical local authority building types would be advantageous as would an understanding of decarbonisation strategies.

You should demonstrate a commitment to the principals of customer care, while displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working to targets and pre-determined timescales along with an awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
