Your new role
The client is seeking a part-qualified assistant accountant to join their finance team for 12 months. Key responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of month-end processes, including prepayments, accruals, depreciation calculations and journals
- Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and undertake investigative work to provide commentary and identify issues as needed
- Act as a point of contact for external auditors, answering queries and providing evidence
- Assist in preparation of the statutory accounts for FRS102 financial statements and in the preparation of management reporting packs
- Assist in systems migration from SmartStream to Workday
What you'll need to succeed
- Part-qualified accountant
- Two years' experience completing month-end tasks in Workday
- Previous experience assisting with audit
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
