An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and caring individual to join our Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service as a Clinical Band 3 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Assistant.

You will be responsible for non-clinical tasks such as ordering equipment, maintaining and cleaning equipment, administrative duties surrounding the group exercise classes and general tidiness of the department.

You will need excellent communication skills, to support patients to undertake prescribed physical rehabilitation programmes and to be able to motivate and persuade patients to overcome barriers to physical activity and also promote healthy lifestyle choices.

Delivering group programmes is a key part of this role, as well as supporting patients to develop long term self-management strategies, linking into resources available in the local community.

This post is based in our MSK Physiotherapy Departments between the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital, Herne Bay and Whitstable and Tankerton Hospital.

However, you may be required to deliver services at our other sites as required dependent on service need within East Kent at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone, Victoria Hospital, Deal and West View Integrated Care Centre, Tenterden. Owning or having access to your own car is therefore essential to the role. Car travel costs are reimbursed for travel within working hours.

You will need a good level of basic IT skills, as some duties will also be done virtually. KCHFT utilises electronic patient records, as well as a number of electronic staff systems.
