Summary

Filling Operative (Days & Noons)

Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent
Position: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Rotating 2-week shifts:

• AM Shift: Mon – Thurs 6:00am – 2:00pm, Fri 6:00am – 1:00pm

  
  

• PM Shift: Mon – Thurs 2:00pm – 10:00pm, Fri 1:00pm – 8:00pm

  
  

  Salary:

  • AM shift: £14.30 per hour

    
    

  • PM shift: £14.90 per hour

    
    

  • Average annual salary: ~£29,600

    
    Role Overview

    Join our manufacturing filling department, where your responsibilities will include:

    • Operating automated and semi-automated filling machinery

      
      

    • Setting up machines and completing product changeovers

      
      

    • Running container washing equipment and filling lines

      
      

    • Manufacturing lubricants using process control systems (Siemens and SAP)

      
      

    • Operating counterbalance forklift trucks

      
      

    • Collecting samples for the Quality Control (QC) team

      
      

    • Carrying out daily housekeeping checks

      
      

    • Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

      
      What We’re Looking For

      ✅ A flexible, reliable approach — willingness to work a rotating 2-shift system and overtime when needed
      ✅ Experience in production, machine operation, or manufacturing (preferred but not essential)
      ✅ Counterbalance forklift truck experience (an in-date external licence is advantageous)
      ✅ A strong team player with good communication skills
      ✅ An extensive and solid work history, clearly detailed in your CV
