Summary
Are you passionate about hospitality and enjoy creating memorable event experiences? Do you thrive in a hands-on role where every shift is different? Jewish Care is looking for enthusiastic, flexible Relief Hospitality Events Supervisors to support the successful delivery of evening and weekend events across our care homes and community centres.
About the RoleAs a Relief Hospitality Events Supervisor, you'll take the lead in delivering small to medium-sized hospitality events outside of normal working hours – from Friday Night Suppers to Sunday Socials. Working across multiple sites, you’ll oversee event setup, liaise with chefs and front-of-house teams, manage waiting staff, and be the go-to person for the event host.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hospitality experience who’s looking for flexible, rewarding work that makes a real impact in our communities.
Note this role requires travel across our resources including Stanmore, Golders Green, Hendon, and Friern Barnet, on an as and when required basis to deliver catering events.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the setup, delivery, and close of events across Jewish Care sites
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
- Be the main point of contact for event hosts on the day
- Supervise General Assistants and waiting staff during events
- Ensure events run professionally, calmly and to a high standard
- Travel between different sites and build strong working relationships on each
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has hospitality or events experience (supervisory experience ideal)
- Is confident communicating with chefs, team members and guests
- Is highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure
- Is hands-on – ready to lay tables, help with food prep and pitch in where needed
- Can work evenings and weekends flexibly as part of a relief team across multiple sites across North West London, including Stanmore, Golders Green, Hendon, and Friern Barnet.
- Is friendly, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent service
- Familiarity with Jewish customs or kosher catering is a bonus – but full training will be provided.
